Dorwin Falls

Thursday July 25 to Sunday July 28, 2019

Rawdon has three main parks that are worth visiting. A free pass to all three parks is included in your registration package.

Dorwin Falls Park

A small orienteering course will be setup in Dorwin park. Score O style with no start, finish or timing. Do it at your own time and pace.

Come and discover the enchanting site of Dorwin Falls, on the Ouareau River and let yourself be charmed by the magic of the Indian Legend of Nipissingue the Sorcerer*. Two lookout points, a 2.5 km ecological trail lined with native flora and the picnic area under the century-old pine forest are the perfect prescription for relaxation for you and your friends.

Cascades Park

Located on the Ouareau River, upstream from Pontbriand Lake, discover Cascades Park and let yourself be carried away by the rippling of the water as it flows over the rocks. The numerous waterfalls delight sunbathers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. A picnic area is available. A large parking lot and a snack bar are nearby.

Municipal Beach

The municipal beach is one of the region’s most beautiful natural attractions. It sits on the shore of Rawdon Lake, where its natural slope of fine sand gives way to a cable bound swimming area – approximately 1.8 metres (6 feet) deep and 38 metres (125 feet) wide.
